  • About the Artists

Our vibrant and dynamic artists are from the Utopia region; a large remote area of Central Australia which, until recently, had no government funded art centre. As a result of their pioneering efforts, they have one of the strongest and richest art histories.

  • Bush Medicine by Laurie Morton Kngwarreye

    March 25, 2024 1 min read

Laurie is an Alyawarr man from Ampilatwatja in Central Australia. He is married to Natasha Beasley and enjoys painting simplistic artworks focusing each piece on a different bush medicine.

Because they're canvas, they can be stretched but we think these would look good framed too; perhaps in an antique find or a sleek black number with white mat board.

Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of Aunty Barbara Weir. Barbara passed away peacefully on 3 Jan 2023 surrounded by family.

Artist, friend, family, boss woman, leader, mentor, pioneer. Utopia will never be the same. Barbara was one of the strongest women we knew, and we pray her spirit will guard and protect her family and the people of Utopia as she did in life.

Sending love to all her loved ones.
