Born: 1930's
Emily began painting on canvas in around 2001. The theme of her paintings usually relate to women’s ceremonies associated with her country, Atnwengerrp/Irrwelty. Her style often shows strong, bold linear work, with a backdrop of very fine dots, reflecting country or sometimes ntang – seeds and Sugar Bag – native honey, and other stories from Emily’s country.
Her work has been featured in numerous group exhibitions with her sisters' works: Minnie Pwerle, Galya Pwerle and Molly Pwerle.
